Hi - I'm Janis, a local poet who has spent most of her life living in Weymouth, Dorset. I'm pleased to enjoy your company and hope you enjoy browsing the website.

One of my passions in life is both reading and writing poetry. After writing on scraps of paper over the years, I decided it might be a good idea to get my poems onto the computer. Then I found myself thinking that I'd like to put them all together as a collection in a book for myself (maybe for my family and friends too?). Before I knew it - I had entered in to the realms of self-publishing and 'My Very Bones' was born. The poems in the first part of the book are reflections through the changing seasons whilst the second part is of a more deeply personal nature, relating to some of my life experiences.
